Everglades National Park, Canoeing the Florida Swamp

Everglades National Park, Florida $3,500 • February 21-27, 2027

Everglades National Park in South Florida plays host to a biologically diverse and incredible ecosystem! Mangrove forests, cypress trees, alligators, crocodiles, manatees and a large variety of bird species all call this unique wetlands home. Our canoe route will take us through intercostal waterways where we will explore fresh water ecosystems as well as saltwater ecosystems. We will spend our nights camping on raised freshwater platforms called “chickees” and we will also have the opportunity to spend a few nights on coastal beaches. Days will be sunny and comfortable and nights will be very mild since we will be visiting in the winter months. Everglades National Park is a dynamic ecosystem with many diverse areas to explore. When we are able, we will also venture on foot into parts of the Park that are accessible from a few of our overnight camps. Come experience the warm, sunny southern Florida weather in February and shake off the winter dust with Big Wild Adventures!
