CUSTOM AND FAMILY TRIPS are built around your personal or group interests. Here is a personalized guided wilderness experience for individuals, groups, or families. We arrange the trip dates and location to suit your needs. We are glad to run Custom/Family trips in virtually any remote and wild corner of North America. In other words, feel free to fantasize about your ultimate dream trip...and we will arrange and run it for you!

Whether your interest is nature study, wildlife photography, fishing, scrambling to high summits, wilderness survival, navigation, relaxation, or perhaps an exceptionally rigorous expedition, Big Wild can provide you with the ultimate backpacking adventure.

2 people: $800 / day 5 people: $1,500 / day 8 people: $1,900 / day
3 people: $1,100 / day 6 people: $1,700 / day  
     
FAMILY TRIPS (for adults with children 18 and under)
2 people: $700 / day 5 people: $1,300 / day 7 people: $1,500 / day
3 people: $1000 / day 6 people: $1,400 / day 8 people: $1,600 / day
4 people: $1,200 / day    

Please note that there may be an extra charge for custom and family trips outside Montana and Wyoming. Custom and family trips can be as rigorous or relaxed as you like, and can be nearly anywhere in North America. Depending upon your needs, interests, and schedule, we will be happy to suggest specific areas and routes that we believe would provide a wonderfully satisfying and unforgettable adventure! Our minimum charge for custom and family trips is for 4 days. Custom and Family Canoe Trip Prices will be determined on a case by case basis.

NOTE: Our Death Valley and Gila wilderness trips are offered only in odd numbered years. In even numbered years, our spring backpack trips are the Escalante Canyons and Grand Staircase backcountry areas of southern Utah.

List prices include our complete gear package and there is a $200 discount if you bring your own (see equipment list and/or questionnaire for details). Also, we offer a $100 discount for the second trip in a calendar year. Scheduled trips are for persons ages 16 and over. Exceptions to the age requirement will be made by us on a case-by-case basis.
